Carnsore Point windfarm
County Wexford.

Aerial photo Carnsore Point windfarm, completed in 2002. Carnsore Point was to be the site of Ireland's first nuclear power station as a response to the energy crisis in the 1970's but due to public pressure the idea was shelved by the government.
The windfarm pictured here was the first of its kind on the east coast and consists of 14 Vesta 850kw wind turbines.
