Flight from Belfast, Manx 2 crashes at
Cork Airport resulting in 6 fatalities

Tragedy at Cork Airport. A Manx 2 Metroliner operated by Spanish company Flightline crashed on it's third attempt to land in fog. First attempt to runway one - seven, then three-five and again an attempt on one-seven when it crashed. The aircraft came to a halt on its roof when an engine caught fire. This was quickly extinguished by rescue personnel while 2 passengers walked away from the wreckage.
Our thoughts are with the all those affected by this tragic event.
