Titanic 100
commemoration, Cobh

Aerial photo of an ecumenical service and wreath laying ceremony in Cobh earlier today. In 1912 the town was called Queenstown and the white building to the rear of the stage was the Whitestar line ticket office - now a museum dedicated to the Titanic
(The Titanic Experience).
The area of quayside pictured here was where the passengers boarded tenders PS Ireland and PS America to transport them to the Titanic, anchored further out in the harbour at Roches Point.
