Shannon Airport, photographed on a quiet afternoon as we flew over a
couple of weeks ago. This would be in stark contrast to the scene from
earlier today, 12 April 2015, when thousands of plane spotters turned out to
see the world's largest civilian transport aircraft, the Antonov 225 while
preparing for the next leg of her journey to Châteauroux in France. Take off
from Shannon was at 23hrs ( local ) from runway 24 and then routed via
Strumble.
