Mungret plant, river Shannon and Limerick city

Reports confirm that Irish Cement, Mungret are planning to turn to a new fuel
supply and are moving away from its previous use of fossil fuels to incinerating
tyres and other combustible waste. Concerned residents from Mungret,
Dooradoyle and Raheen have been voicing their concerns on future emmissions
and are protesting the granting of planning permission.
This aerial photo from 2010 shows the proximity of the plant to Limerick city.
